Are you in search of foods you feel great about feeding your family? Then let us introduce ourselves. We are John and Sarah Gilbert and we farm south of Iowa Falls with John’s parents, John and Beverly, and John’s uncle, Greg.
In the spring of 2010 when we moved back to the family farm, one of the benefits was the ability to produce our own food. In our time farming, we have learned a lot about the care and management of crops and livestock needed to create flavorful and nutritious foods. And now we are excited to share this food with you, starting with beef produced from our farm.
We are thrilled with the opportunity to connect with you. The ability to know where your food comes from and the farmers that produced it can add a special enjoyment to your meals. We both lived away from the farm after college, so we appreciate the peace that comes when you know the names and faces behind the food you eat.
We also know that finding good food is one thing, turning it into delicious meals with a busy schedule is a whole other challenge. Most of our time after returning to the farm was spent caring for and milking cows.
One thing we’ve made time for is preparing home cooked meals. In the process, we’ve gained a lot of tips and tricks we are excited to share with you for creating meals that are both delicious and fit into busy lives.

Busy takes on a whole new meaning when you have children. We have been blessed with two daughters, Isabel and Adeline. While time suddenly seems to disappear faster once you have children, selecting food you feel great about gains a new level of importance.
Feeding children is a difficult balance between selecting foods that are healthy for them and choosing foods that they will actually eat. Kids are no dummies and they know food should taste great. To provide meals that are both nutritious and delicious, we need ingredients that naturally possess great flavor and then use them in recipes that kids love.
We are here to help with both. In the last two years, we have transitioned from milking cows to raising dairy steers so that we can be part of your solution for creating great meals for your family. Our website and social media share cooking skills and recipes along with our farm life and the beauty of nature that goes into producing food you can love.
Thank you for spending the time to read a little about us. We look forward to the opportunity to connect with you further, help you create meals your family loves, and become a part of your story!
